Munich’S Quantum Ecosystem and IMPRS-QST

Exceptional Graduate Training in a World-Leading Landscape

Munich is a global hub of excellence in Quantum Science and Technology, renowned for its interdisciplinary depth and collaborative spirit. Central to this thriving ecosystem are the Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics, the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, and the Technichal University of Munich.

Established in 2016, the IMPRS-QST has been a cornerstone of doctoral education in Munich. To further enhance the opportunities available to our students, the program has now been seamlessly integrated into the wider framework of the Munich Center for Quantum Science and Technology (MCQST) Doctoral Program. This integration leverages the long-standing success of the IMPRS-QST while offering students access to the expanded resources of the Cluster of Excellence.
